Sasha Richardson BSc, PT, MBA

Sasha Richardson,  Vice President Bridgehead USA, joined the company in February 2007 from Janssen-Cilag GmbH (Johnson & Johnson) where she worked as Commercial Affairs & Trade Manager in Germany in 2006.  Until July 2011 Sasha led Bridgehead’s London office and was responsible for European market access projects.  She is now leading Bridgehead's expansion on the West Coast of the USA. 

 Sasha has over 15 years operational and management experience in the healthcare / life sciences sector, having gained valuable international exposure in Canada (private & public), USA (private & life sciences), UK (St. George’s Hospital, life sciences and consulting), France (consumer), Germany (pharmaceutical) and global market access projects.

Sasha holds degrees in Biopsychology/Neurophysiology from the University of British Columbia and Physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario. She also has an MBA from HEC Paris / London Business School, with a concentration in finance and entrepreneurship.

Sasha brings expertise in disease management, health economics, market research, cost-benefit, pricing & reimbursement, and competitor analysis of pharmaceutical drugs, medical device ventures and healthcare services gained from:

  • Janssen Cilag (J&J Germany)
  • Independent Healthcare Consultant (global markets)
  • Working in all the major disease states covering >50 indications
  • P&R Europe & US master class lecturer and international speaker.

As the Director of a multi-disciplined medical practice for six and a half years in New York, Sasha established best patient practices and reimbursement and billing practices and contract negotiations. In addition, cost effectiveness of various medical treatments was done to meet with Payers (private insurance companies/Medicare) guidelines via in depth knowledge of CPT and ICD 9 codes (reimbursement and diagnostic codes) and established clinic-payer relationships.
