Bridgehead International Appoints Marcus Deans as Principal Consultant

London 07 September 2011 ...... Marcus Deans, an expert in European pharmaceutical market access, pricing and reimbursement,  has joined Bridgehead International’s London office as Principal Consultant.

Marcus is an international pharmaceutical executive with extensive practical and academic experience of strategic international marketing, gained over a 15 year industry career.  He has held  a number of leadership positions at both a Global and European level, having previously been Head of European CNS (Strategic Marketing) and Global Brand Director at Novartis, where he managed a number of brands through both launch and loss of exclusivity (LOE).

For the past two years Marcus has been a European Pricing and Market Access Consultant at Takeda, where he was responsible for developing the market access strategies across the pre-launch portfolio, in addition to developing strategies for the brands facing LOE. This involved pricing assessments, European launch sequencing, value assessments and payer research, core value dossier development and providing input into health economic modelling. Ultimately, his core responsibilities were to aid the development of market access processes and capabilities and to ensure alignment with commercial strategic goals.

Marcus has a B.Sc. degree in Medical Biotechnology and is a Chartered Marketer and a Senior Lecturer on both the professional and postgraduate diploma in Marketing (CIM).
